Lots of playing with high voltages... TV power transformers, neon sign
transformers, big oil caps, flashtubes.

A buddy and I were prowling an empty house and found a shopping bag
full of shotgun shells. We spent the summer peeling them open, and
using the powder for insane things.

I once made a Kerr cell using nitrobenzene, and got the stuff all over

Huge lead exposure, of course.

The best example of alarming a co-worker I know of happened while a 20
ton toilet paper greasing machine was being rigged for loading onto a
truck, and some idiot reached under the partially raised machine to
grab a sling (big time safety rule violation). Someone tipped over a
nearby four foot square 1" thick steel plate which hit flat on the
concrete floor with a bang that could be felt through the floor quite
nicely just as the idiot reached the sling. After the fight was
broken up there was an extended trip to the mens room for clean-up
:-).

The fuse should avoid any dangerous effects, but looks like most
multimeters are not safe:

That>s just someone being a dumbass. Even as a kid I knew AC power could
knock you on your ass, even just the 120V 15A sutff. My great
grandfather taught me quite a bit about electricity.

My father was a know-it-all so one day he decides to replace the kitchen
light fixture.

I was about 11 years old at the time. Told him to make sure the power
was cut and he assured me it was. Next thing I know the old man is on
his ass. I just looked at him with my "Told you so..." look.

Recently I had to fix a light fixture in my bathroom. But something was
off on the wiring. I>d cut the power to the room but was still getting
voltage across the pair of wires. Hmmm.. seems the neutral wasn>t
exactly neutral at all. Cut the power to the whole house and then

Sounds like fun. My favorite was hooking a relay up to oscillate and
then feeding that into a step-up transformer. I nice pulsed DC signal at
high voltage was always fun to use on friends.

McCarthy turned out to be right, according to KGB records.

You>re a goddamned retard if you believe that utter horseshit. Are you
really so naive as to think that the KGB would pass on to us valid,

Yeah, sure, dingledorf... there were actors and writers in Hollywood
that were secret KGB operatives and were there to subvert The American

Shame they were using "The American Way" to achieve their goals. That
made it really hard to tell which ones "they" were.
