Hi,

1. What>s a good way to validate results from a commercial LES code?
The code uses the finite volume method and velocity/pressure data is
available at every cell-center. Using this, how may one look at the
energy spectrum? How can one be assured of low aliasing error? How can
one be assured that the filter width (=grid size) is sufficiently
small? For an unstructured grid, what does one mean exactly by "grid
size"?

2. When a company invests in a commercial CFD code, what numerical
experiments does it usually perform to determine the validity of the
computation (I am refering to LES modeling only)?

Many Thanks for your insights,

Good times!
