I came across an article that said new genes have come about
through retroviruses. Now I had gotten the impression somehow that
transposons were flipped upside down and backward when they were
inserted in a section of DNA. That is, I don>t see how the cell tells
which end of the transposon should go first and which side should be
the coding strand and which the complementary. So what happens? Does
the transposon insert with one end to the left half the time, and the
other end to the left the other half?
