Actually, I did not start the tradition; RFC 748 had several worthy
predecessors. But the tradition did seem to go into hiatus for a long
while.
I find it more amazing that 12 years passed between a mere 350 RFCs.
It was a kinder and gentler network back then.

Umm, Mark can be accused of many things, and "understated" will never
be one of them ;-)

Was that the one just south of the hotel? I had them confused by just
asking for "a coffee." The closest we could get (it took them until
Wednesday to get this far) was called a "white coffee"; it seemed to
be rather unenthusiastic latte. Thank God for the pubs.
