Hello crunchers,
I>m having a problem I>ve never encountered before. I seem to have a
'stuck' Work Unit. When I try to transmit this particular WU, I get this
error message:
=================================================
Sending result - connecting to server.
connect: No such file or directory
Can>t connect to server; will retry in an hour.
=================================================
I>ve been able to send other results and retrieve more WUs, but cannot
send this one. Any hints on either 'helping' it along or deleting it?
Windows 4.90.3000, Duron 1000 Mhz, 320 Mb SDRAM, SETI Driver 1.6.4.0,
SETI @ Home version 3.08 CLI.
Thanks,
Steve |

Might just be the Cogent link to Berkeley SSL -
http://cricket.berkeley.edu:8885/inr-668-interfaces.html - it seems to be a
bit erratic and slow at the moment. If you check the longer term graphs
you>ll see bandwidth usage is low compared to the average over the last few
months. Also, Berkeley have one CPU out-of-service on the DB server so that
may be it. If you tried connecting anywhere near on-the-hour then try in
the middle of the hour instead - the server is always more lightly loaded
away from on-the-hour times.
I just now connected to send a few results in and they took a LOT longer to
process than usual - once connected I don>t have to do anything more running
SetiQueue, it keeps retrying until it gets through...
I>m not sure how to delete a WU when using SetiDriver...
Ciao...

Delete these files and try again.
I was receiving this error most of the week end.[/quote]
I doubt it was anything on the user end, but rather something that may
have been on the server end.
Possibly they were just overloaded? I don>t know, but all 4 machines
here were unable to get through for maybe a day and a half to two
days.
Working fine now.
