Hi

I am trying to apply strip theory to risers in offshore platforms.
Although strip theory is in use for quite sometime in ship studies,
nobody has applied it to risers. My intention is to do a 2-D flow
analysis after dividing the riser into strips. I realize I have to
account for the structural coupling between strips. I don>t know how
to do that. Can anybody tell me where to look for such kind of a
thing? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Regards,
Tuhin
