But let>s look at one thing. A few weeks ago I had to

No idea why you bring up LVM and FAH in this context, but I think I can
safely say that Hayek would have absolutely loved the internet. The free
flow of information and the (still forming) spontaneous order would have
facinated him. LVMs writing is so dry that I have no sense of his
personality..well, maybe that is his personality.
Are you under the impression that the classic libertarians are prudish or
something? Maybe elitist? I dont get your question (but that isnt
unusual).

Another moron heard from.
The civil liberties issues that have arisen under this Administration are
not a liberal/conservative matter, you fool (see my links to calvin). For
example, respect for habeas corpus is not partisan--it is the absolute
bedrock of this nation, and I will make common cause with anyone who
supports it, and vehemently oppose those willing to toss it aside,
regardless of your inane labels. Lincoln was a tyrannical asshole for
curtailing it during the Civil War; FDR and the Supreme Court liberals (most
notably Douglas and Black in the Korematsu decision) were scum for doing so
to American citizens of Japanese origin during WWII; and our current
Decider-In-Chief was an absolute disgrace as well.
f ck you and you small-minded partisanship. |

I looked over the links you gave. Sorry, but I believe the war
on terror is a real thing, and I don>t believe that Bush and Cheney
have wanted to take away rights of the people. They simply
have found it necessary to take certain actions, generally with
congressional approval. In the case of executive orders, Obama
can simply issue counter orders, if he dares. It has already been
said that Obama may leave some these orders in place, for
the sake of his 'flexibility', which is a hoot. No flexibility for
Bush was proper, it seems. |
