Hi,

Recently, I am concerned with the leak test of hydraulic components.
Since I have not been dealt with this topic profoundly up to now I would
need a recommendation on good books/references that focus on hydraulics as
well as on the problem of leak testing.

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Berthold B.

Seal manufacturers cover this stuff peripherally in their technical
documentation, which I suggest you gather from all possible sources.

Two snippets that you will verify, because they seem counterintuitive:

- Sealing under 1 bar is harder than sealing over 100 bar.

- Slow moving dynamic seals typically have shorter lives than fast moving
dynamic seals.
