distributed on college campuses, featured "Adventures in the Ozone
Layer" by S. Fred Singer, and "the Cold Facts on Global Warming" by
Sallie Baliunas. The articles denied the serious nature of ozone
depletion and global warming.

Like the Heartland Institute, this is another rightwing think tank
that has been heavily funded by Exxon-Mobil.
The board of directors of the NCPA is curiously slanted -- they>re not
all oil and energy company executives, but the many of them seem to
come from Dallas, Texas and to represent corporations (real estate,
financial investments, health care companies, etc.) headquartered in
Dallas.
Former Delaware governor Pete DuPont, ultra-conservative GOP candidate
for president a few years ago, is the NPCA>s executive director. One
of their other directors, James Cleo Thompson, Jr., is Chairman of the
Board, Thompson Petroleum Corporation.
Their main policy analyst on energy issues, H. Sterling Burnett, seems
from a quick scan of his commentaries on the NCPA web site to be an
AGW Denier, although a reasonably smart one, and a persistent foe of
alternative energy -- e.g. wind energy.
