Please can anybody help me out.

I am trying to analyse a shielded microstrip structure.
I need to get the scattering matrix from either the impedance matrix
or the admittance matrix and i don>t know how to go about it.

The impedance or admittance matrix i>m talking about is different from
the impedance method of moment matrix which was inverted and used in
the derivation of the coefficient of the basis functions that
represent the current density.

I mean from the port impedance or admittance matrix

I have a very large table of formulas converting a great many two port
parameters between one another. I do recall that at one point in the
past it also had scattering parameters on it, but the version I just
dug up did not. I really don>t know what happened to it. Sorry. It>s
been a LONG time since I was dealing with shielded micro-strip line.

Good luck.

Good luck.

I remember David Pozar>s microwave engineering has a detailed[/quote]
illustration of the conversion.
