Hello!

I have a question about the scales on the SIFT algorithm, and the
lecture of Lowe>s paper doesn>t resolve (at least completely :-) ) my
doubt. Suppose that you are on a given octave O and you detect a local
maximum of the DoG pyramid, on the image calculated with the
difference of the stages i and i-1 of the scale-space representation,
I>ll call this the image DoG(i,i-1). Therefore, this maximum in
DoG(i,i-1) is a local maximum compared to DoG(i-1,i-2) and DoG(i+1,i).
My question is, at which scale of the scale-space representation the
maximum has been detected? at scale i?

Thanks a lot!
Javier
