Not sure of the relevance of this. This drop in salaries has been across
the board in many areas due to the recent recession. Especially, for
example, for computer programmers in general (though not for programmers
who do embedded programming associated with work in the military
industry).

Outsourcing high-tech work to India, China, etc, may be a
contributing factor. Who>s going to pay customary USA salaries
when furriners will do it for one-tenth the normal hourly rates...??

We have an "economic recovery" going, companies making money again.
But the "job-creation" was only one-third of the projections.
Do the out-sourcing math. Of course they are making more money
now that furriners are doing a lot of the work Dirt_Cheep.
