A Poem Of Our Love, And Adventures

17 July 2002
{HRI 20020717-V5.2.1}

(Version 5.2.1
on 19 Oct 2008)

'

An adventure is 'something that crosses our path'
- and here, it is Adventures that crossed the path
of our Love.

'

'

Fiercely Hated I am

...by the very Envious;

'

mortally Feared I am

...by the very Evil;

'

forcefully Denied and heavily Fought I am

...by the very Cowardly;

'

scathingly Despised I am

...by the very Ugly.

'

'

But Loved and Respected by billions, I am

highly Intelligent and Wise in philosophy and governing, I am

intensely Loving and Caring as saints are, I am

one of the most Beautiful, for many the most Beautiful in Art and
Music.

'

'

By Beauty of your own, you will then multiply that, and

you multiply it by your Loving also, by true Care.

'

'

Loving and true Care, do carry real Wisdom,

which brings Intelligence to Life,

thus giving and extending it to many.

'

That is the way, you stand by me:

'

'

'

'

Lovingly, you act - that is, I mean to say, that

free you are, yourself TO ACT:

and free that means - no bad emotions originating from yourself;
and

free you are, yourself TO MOVE:

and free that means - not passing on another>s bad intentions,
not doing so in any form; and

free you are, yourself TO SEE:

and free that means - not hiding things from proper view, that do
need to be seen; and

free you are, yourself TO FEEL:

and free that means - not listening to Envy>s dictate to destroy
or otherwise to hinder Good and Beautiful; and

free you are, yourself TO BE ALIVE:

and free that means - not using Hate to burn at any life ...not
even when it begs for Hate, and goads for you to do its bidding.

'

'

ARDENTLY, you long

to see Pretending separate from Genuine.

'

'

PASSIONATELY, you fight

to ward true Evil off, to make it wither and contained, by Good
around it that demands the Evil cease.

'

'

VIBRANTLY, you live

to own the Joy of Life, and thus maintaining it,

you may not know, maintaining Joy of Life you do, by telling
Ugliness apart - that is to say, by seeing Ugliness so very
different - from Beauty.

'

'

It is how nature gifted you to be and feel,

and also now, you show and guard that Beauty of your soul.

'

'

'

'

The things that follow now, are things not lightly said:
Inspired by light of poets, and considered well, they are.

'

The Roots of Life that hold you standing now,

as roots are helping trees to stand and grow, the trees

that clean the atmosphere when light shines on their leaves,

in other words, I think of Roots of Life, as things that make
you stand and grow,

to brave and soften the spiritual Storms on Earth, the raging
Hurricanes,

'

the Cyclones, that you penetrate, behold and understand by going
through and reaching up above

the Clouds that cause Oblivion. But when you penetrate

'

the Veils that caused you to forget your cherished friends,

'

the Veils that hide your loss of exquisite abilities as well

and riches of lives past you tend to feel again so often, but

forgotten soon, or as a dream not understood,

they fade away as if they never were. But when you penetrate

'

the Nebulae that cause Serenity, there, where they say, 'you do not
have to Care,' and 'All is fine,'

there 'where you know it All,'

where Love is just an empty word that bounces off your chest.
But when you penetrate

'

the Certainty that keeps enforced, 'you know the truth,'

the Certainty that 'does not need to see,' that 'can not be
disturbed by looking,' and that

'must not be disturbed' - by life, that is,

disturbed, by seeing that, what really happened and by finding
who did what and what was then intended;

but Certainty maintained, it is ...by sensing not, by seeing not
what is the Black of Night,

not knowing even that, that Unawareness - Black as Night - can
very well be felt and thus can also be removed; removing that

which forms a perfect, hidden wall, the wall made stronger still,
with Certainty that things can not be felt or seen, because there
is the Black of Night, the wall one finds behind

'

the Clouds of Cotton Wool that are themselves impervious to sight,

which do prevent you want to even think of what>s behind, and

so you are accepting what is only offered to be seen, as if
that is the 'truth perceived,'

accepting it as 'feeling safe,' a 'fine experience to
undergo,'

to be enshrined in dream "reality"

which only in those Clouds seems nice and beautiful, and felt

'as if Awareness held you in its very arms,' suggesting 'kisses never
felt before.' But when you penetrate

'

the Mists of blind Euphoria, the Fogs of lulled Security, the Clouds
that hold you trapped forever,

the Cave not seen by you, invisible through senses captive, the
captives mired in always failed connection,

Life>s Energy diverted cunningly,

in what is Ugly Joy in fact,

becomes apparent only when the Clouds are blown away by breath
of Love and Truth, dissolved by penetrating Beauty,

revealing thus there were

sensations soaked with Ugliness and kept afloat by means of Lies you
did not want at all. Now if you penetrate

'

the Lightning Storms of Pretense of so many other, conjured Worlds
of 'how things are,'

designed to hide from you the real course of time,

designed to make you never find those places you SHOULD know,

the times and places where your Roots were cut, where Roots
were made to wither, foul and hollow.

'

'

'

Compare those times and places where our Love was crossed, and
do remember what was there,

BEFORE the Clouds were blackening and Lightning struck,

BEFORE the Cyclones turned and spun your senses,

BEFORE the veils were put in place, to mask the
Treachery, to hide the Ugliness, to dull the Pain.

'

You go and look and sense the things that were BEFORE, and then

you feel again the Roots that hold you strong and standing,
joyfully anticipating and creating:

You stand connected to and are in truth 'of The Creation.'

'

'

The Roots, with which you hold what is,

the Roots with which you hold the things that really were,

and Roots by which you also hold the things to come, for us to
choose or if not chosen then to follow holding steady Roots,

the Roots that keep life going, here on Earth as well,

amidst the Clouds of White that do intend to cloak the Dark,

the Dark of Night that blocks your sensing

what was done to you and others, and that what is
inflicted with continuous intention.

'

'

The Roots, with which you hold the stem of Life,

amidst the Lightning Storms, the fires - that those, who do
PRETEND to know, have set, and keep ablaze - to burn away your
knowledge;

amidst the Hurricanes, the devastating motion smashing you and
anyone without regard for who you are, without respect for Life
at all;

amidst the Cyclones spun around the core of those whose joy
consists, of making others spin and turn

to devastating fury - oh, yes, indeed, to make those others
rage against who would be truly friends.

'

'

'

They are your Roots upholding your desire

to stand and look behind the Clouds,

to brave the Lightning Storms,

to hold out in the Hurricanes,

to reach above the Cyclones when you can.

'

'

If that is how you are, still now,

then stand by me,

whoever you are now,
wherever you are now,
whatever you are now,

then stand by me.

You are a friend most valued for us all to have.

I have to admit... i like the poem. As i read it and was
about 2/3 thru it, the poem began to remind me of ol'

I felt similar feelings while reading his..

Thank you for that, KNT!

When people fight evil directly, it only serves to
strengthen the evil.

There is only one way for good people to defeat
evil, and that>s indirectly, by making consistent
and continued progress in and for the good.

One good person walked the way,
Evil tried to make her sway,
Straight and even, on she strode,
Evil dropped a heavy load...

Two good persons walked the way,

Straight and even, on they strode,
Evil dropped a heavy load...

Three good people walked the way,
Evil tried to make them sway, . . .

I have to admit... i like the poem. As i read it and was
about 2/3 thru it, the poem began to remind me of ol'

I felt similar feelings while reading his..

Thank you for that, KNT!

When people fight evil directly, it only serves to
strengthen the evil.

There is only one way for good people to defeat
evil, and that>s indirectly, by making consistent
and continued progress in and for the good.

One good person walked the way,
Evil tried to make her sway,
Straight and even, on she strode,

Two good persons walked the way,

Three good people walked the way,
Evil tried to make them sway, . . .

You talk as if you>re surprised that Obama>s really

Yes, Rand scared a lot of people back then. But
nothing exists today that is remotely like the things
she wrote about back then. Did socialism work in
Russia? No. Did socialism win in Japan? No, the
big winner there was capitalism. Was socialism a
viable way to live in China? How about the kibbutz?
Well, okay, kibbutzim were fairly successful, but
those people really worked hard to make them so.

As for China, it was for hundreds of years not any
where close to industrialization. It>s an agricultural
state, so there have been far fewer people to feed
in the cities than in industrial states. So it wouldn>t
matter if one farmer can only feed one person in the

Hey, Paine, I got news for you: Obama-lama has sure put one over on
the U.S.

Just wait until you see what he does after the election (win or
lose).

He>s a MARXIST PIG! Expect him to act like one!

People gotta eat, Saul. We eat or we die. Why do you
think the US was supplying Russia with most of its wheat
in the '60s and '70>s? In 1960 one farmer in Russia could
feed one (1) person in the city. That same year in the US,
one farmer could feed twelve (12) city dwellers. Marxism,
communism, socialism, they can>t work. They cannot feed
the people. This is believed to be tied to the strongly felt
and deeply embedded instinct of territoriality.

The problem is they NEVER GIVE UP, Paine.

They want REVOLUTION all the time, and everywhere.

And they don>t care that socialism doesn>t work either.

How many people have they killed in Russia and China alone?

Socialism isn>t a threat? WRONG! Read up on Ayn Rand. She knew what
they are.

It doesn>t matter if they never give up, Saul. They are
misguided, and their platform is only attractive to those
who are disgusted with their present system. If a system
is subject to revolution, i.e., subject to a need for change/
revision, AND the disgusted subjects are desperate, this
might give a socialist a foot-in-the-door. Unlikely at best.

Socialism as a threat is like a gun. Guns are objective,
guns don>t shoot people... PEOPLE SHOOT PEOPLE. Those
people in Russia and China fell prey not to socialism, but
to misguided people doing evil acts who use socialism as a
backdrop for their evil. Capitalism can also go hand in hand
with atrocity, with ample examples from history.

Rand was a good writer. Her _Atlas Shrugged_ was totally
amazing! But her overall political outlook was rather naive.
In short, it sucked. And still does. To her credit, i think her
books opened some eyes and minds. Really great reads!

Change begins with the individual. Just like the beginnings
of invention are thoughts and ideas, the origins of positive
change (or negative, for that matter) are the thoughts and
ideas of individual people. To facilitate change for the good,
one must raise the consciousness level of people, to help
them become truly *aware* of the need for change. It>s not
always easy, but when it does happen, it>s very rewarding.

"Complacency" is far more of an effective enemy than true
socialism will ever amount to.

Are Obama-lama>s followers disgusted, Paine?

They sure seem to be. They want CHANGE!

I>m sure all those DEAD people will understand your view about what
KILLED them. Rather unlikely I>d say.

I found Ayn Rand extremely knowledgable about socialism and communism.
No one else back then was saying what she said and wrote. And they
still aren>t.

I>m sorry, Saul, but you>re beginning to sound like
you>re losin' it. All those dead people won>t "get"
it because they>re all "past carin'", dude. So it>s
"rather unlikely" they>ll be able to understand a
damn thing.

You talk as if you>re surprised that Obama>s really
a socialist. True democracy is a working form of
socialism, so any "true democrat" is, by definition,
a socialist.

So it wouldn>t
matter if one farmer can only feed one person in the
city if there are so many more farmers than in the US
and Russia. Now, however, China is beginning to
industrialize. And the Chinese are finding that true
socialism just doesn>t work in an industrial society.
So they>re having to form a neo-socialist society that
is actually just capitalism in disguise.

As for change, people generally don>t like it. So it
takes a great amount of urgency to get them to go
along with real change. This fact puts McCain/Palin
squarely in the White House unless Obama can do
some miracles. He might get lucky, but if he does,
it>ll probably just get him killed. There are still a lot
of people who won>t sit at the same table with those
of darker skin, let alone allow themselves to be led
by one.

Naysaying will NOT remove the THREAT, Paine!

You sound too much like a WHIMPY liberal.

Wait until Obama-lama gets elected! You>ll see what EVIL happens
then.

Obama will make a fair showing, but i don>t think
he will be elected president. A lot of people are
very scared right now, Saul, and just the change
of going from rep to dem is enough to shake their
jeans off. Add to that the even more radical
change of ivory to ebony?

There will one day be a president who is dark-
skinned. When this happens, it will be a vice-
president who enters the post due to the inability
of the seated president to fulfull the capacities of
his office of the presidency. I will admit that i was
"a little" surprised when Obama won the party>s
nomination. However i contend that Obama will
not win the election.

We are still many years away from the *election*
of a dark-skinned man OR a woman directly into
the office of president of the United States.

Baby steps.

And whimpy maybe, but i>m not a liberal, you old
fart! <g>

Nor will i throw out the very real possibility that
the present "hard times" have been created,
orchestrated and choreographed by republicans
to ensure that they retain the highest power.

Sneaky li>l devils.

happy days and...
starry starry nights!
