Adams Platform invented by Adam Clark in 1996 has released many
documents at http://www.adamsplatform.com.au
The most interesting document links are not working anymore, I managed
to recover some via other sources.

Hmm, it doesn>t seem any special at all, I thought MP4/DIVX
compression would defeat it easily.

This is a joke. The papers describe, quite clumsily and with childish
terminology, an elementary vector quantization codec that gains most
of its space savings by first rescaling the input frame to 1/4th its
original size. While his claims were always impossible (broadcast
video over a 56Kbps line), these documents are just more proof that
his intent was always to scam and never actually deliver anything.
What he outlines in the paper is a functional codec, sure. But it is
a codec that uses technology and ideas from 18 years ago; I>d describe
it as a combination between Microsoft Video 1 (for the RGB colorspace
and crude quantization) and Autodesk Animator FLIC (for assuming that
video would have a lot of runs in it).
There is simply no way a codec of this tech could deliver anything
near his original claims, so I can only assume he provided the papers
to satisfy some sort of legal or financial obligation. |

Interesting is the letter from Adam Clark to Kevin Tolly (The Tolly
Group) from Dec 12, 2007 Adam writes:
"I now have an unequivocal understanding that MWC and my technology
ran foul of United States and Australian Government intervention."
And also the letter from John Anderson (former director Mediaworld
Communications Limited) to George Zois from Mar 13, 2008 John writes:
"Is there any reason why you have elected to keep the invention
secret? We are completely informed of why the United States government
chose to keep the invention solely for military and intelligence
capabilities."
"The United States government in unison with the Australian government
met with Mr. Clark and explained to Mr. Clark that until his
technology was able to be supported by a suitable economic model the
technology would not be made public. This meeting occurred before our
public release to 35 foreign embassies. Also revealed in the meeting
with the United States government was the policy that all Fossil fuel
reserves would need to be expended before considering alternatives
like Adams Platform."
And in an email on the net John wrotes:
".. before it was “controlled” by the United States Government and the
Australian Government in a joint project called OPERATION PLATFORM"
And also the letter from John Anderson to Keven Rudd (Prime Minister)
from Jul 9, 2008 John writes:
"... Thought Recognition Software." ... that second technology of Mr.
Clark.. ... why the US Government is refusing to publish its Patents!"
"...this is a brief insight into where the TRS Software sits and it
too is now in a company called Real Technologies and that has been
stripped from Adam>s hands ..." |

Actually, since they "recommend" using "Single Frame Compression Method
1" that equals to doing RLE for each frame.
Do you actually believe that RLE is efficient for video compression or
even image sequence compression ?
Even MotionJpeg would outperform this stupidity 100:1 if not more.

I think we can agree that Adam Clark and John Anderson are living
human in Australia and that Adam Clark claims to be inventor of a
video compression codec capable to stream full screen quality video

faked, the letters are faked and bullshit the compression demo>s are
faked for 10 years, he lost all his money because he faked, he lost

he faked, his dream where he saw the algorithm in 1996 is faked and
bullshit, his video wall story is faked and bullshit, his video
compression codec is faked and bullshit, his published and not
published patents are bullshit, Tolly group was manipulated the day of
test and CSIRO was manipulated the day of test, etc. etc. etc.
The only conspiracy I can find are to much impossible events and a
sleeping mass who don’t pay attention. |

Yes, that is exactly right. Fooling investors for money is a very old
practice; if this is your first exposure to it, you must be very
sheltered.
You posted a link to his compression implementation papers, we
reviewed it, found it to be utterly and completely bogus. You can
review everything he>s published yourself and come to the same
conclusion. (If you read the papers and do not understand them, then
you are unqualified to make any claims at all about the validity of
his method!) If it>s any consolation, I listened to his 1997 radio
interview (in 1997) and immediately recognized the traits of a
pathological liar. So if it helps you resolve this situation, you can
assume that he was operating under a compulsion to lie and was not
entirely in control of his actions.
If you have trouble believing this, then I feel sorry for you, because
you will never find explanations that give you comfort.

information) and why it cannot possible work the way he says it does,
one of us might be willing to further explain what we>ve already
written. If you>d like an explanation of why broadcast-quality video
is impossible over a modem line, we could whip up some quick
examples. If you>d like to brainstorm about what computing capacity
might be like in 50 years and what compression methods might be
possible in that time, we could entertain you. But if you>re just
going to blather on about conspiracy theories, you need to post in the
