|
|
I went to the local feed mill today and bought a bottle of Wazine 17 to
treat our hens for roundworm.
We keep a few ducks in with our hens. Does anyone know if Wazine 17 is
safe for ducks? We>re not looking to treat the ducks, but if they get
into the hen>s drinking water, we want to make sure that the Wazine 17
won>t harm them. The people at the feedmill didn>t know, and I haven>t
found the answer on the web.
The active ingredient in Wazine 17 is Piperazine.
Thanks.

Hello Bob,
Piperazine can be used on ducks but it doesn>t seem to be very effective
on some of the worms affecting ducks. According to my books it does not
kill gizzard worms or gape worms & only partly works on caecal worms.

Thanks.

Hi, Krys,
Thanks for the info. I>m not interested in treating the ducks. I just
don>t want them harmed if they drink out of the treated water bowls
intended for the hens.
