Attracting predators <rats, snakes, coyotes, and other animals that will eat
your chickens>.

Noise.

Chicken manure can smell.

Disease. If kept and fed properly, chickens are hardy but can get sick.

Meat.

They reproduce easily.

They eat kitchen scraps, bugs, and weeds from your garden.

They produce manure that is useful to fertilize your garden.

They are entertaining and nice to look at.
