So maybe TV commericals, advertizing copy, etc. have trained us to eat too
many carbs? Or does the fact that they taste good have something to do with
it...Or BG swings and insulin?

I remember seeing that fast food resturaunts tend toward oranges and yellows
because studies showed that these promote appetite, whereas blue tends to
suppress peoples urge to eat.

That said, just because something is trainable doesn>t lead to the
conclusion that its "all in the mind".

yeah, no accident pizza commercials blitz the airwaves around dinner
time. Ice cream? I suppose you could train me to crave it with just about
anything depending on the time of day and if I was hungry.[/quote]

There>s very, very, little here that Pavlov didn>t know for chrissake. Of,
course, he didn>t have exorbitantly expensive "pictures" of the brain. So
much for the fruit of the "decade of the brain."

Oh, I>ve already been trained:). Calves' liver with Dubonnet....
chicken livers sauteed with cubetti pancetta and wilted spinach,a nd a
dash of vinegar.... calves' liver with fried sage leaves and onions....
foie gras and chunks of grilled apple, with a sauterne glaze.... Erm -
guess how I gained weight?

You can keep the peanut butter, btw. No power on earth could make me
eat it, let alone CRAVE it.
