PRICE HILL - Cincinnati police are investigating an attempted robbery
in Price Hill that left two people wounded, including the alleged
robber.
Police were sent to DNR Movers in the 400 block of Elberon Avenue just
after 9 a.m.
Employees said they noticed a man pacing outside the business. The man
then came in, pulled out a gun and said "You know what this is."
News 5>s Todd Dykes said that the man pointed a gun at the business
owner>s head, but realized something was wrong with the gun and that
there were more than a dozen people in the room.
"We>re shocked. To start off with, it>s 15 on 1 and you>ve got a gun.
Okay, well, apparently he wasn>t kidding," Raymond Palma said.
When the gunman hesitated, Palma tried to get the gun from him.
"That>s when I took him to the ground. There were two shots fired, one
shot, he shot himself, the other shot hit my brother," he said.
Business Owner Takes On Gunman, Wins
The gunman, Ahmad Parker, was transported to University Hospital for
treatment. Palma>s brother was grazed by a bullet on his leg.
"Obviously, (Parker) lost the fight, because he left out of here in
the ambulance," Palma said.
