The Democrats lost their souls a long time ago.
It must have happened when they had their spines removed.

Just wondering, would it have been better to sell those souls at a

Jim is as far out of touch with reality as ever - Pelosi seems to have
read Dava Sobel>s "Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who
Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of his Time" which is a great
book, and she does seem to have the mental capacity to recognise it as
such, which is more than Jim can manage.

I wonder if Jim can name a Republican politician who has read the
book?

I>m fond of it because it was the last book my father read before he

my way out to support my mother while my father>s cancer was finishing
him off, and he grabbed it and read in the ten days he had left.

Jim>s crack about Democratic spinelessness is another aspect of his
lack of contact with reality - Republicans are famously unaware of
what is going on in the real world, and consequently regard sensible
and necessary compromises as betrayals of their (perverse) principles.
They can hgo to the trouble of remembering their principles - which
are usually short and pithy - but can>t be bothered to do the work
involved to understand the practical issues involved (such as "how do
we reconcile the Kurds, the Sunnis and the Shias after we>ve invaded
Irak?).

But let me interject this about the current Rebpulican nominee:

I find it astounding that apparently Ms. Spears was not approached
about using her likeness in the recent McCain ad ("Celeb"). The
article did not mention if Paris Hilton was contacted for permission.

All we need now is for one or both of them to throw their support
behind Obama.!!

Talk about "judgement"...!! :)

No disrespect to your father but I hated that book - full of waffle about
personalitites and nothing about the engineeering.
And building an accurate clock was mainly an engineering issue (the science
was already understood).

Jim might want to swap our speaker (in UK) - he doesn>t have his head in the
clouds but his hand in the till.

I wasn>t worried about the law regarding public figures.
My point was if these individuals were not contacted, it is possible
the campaign does not actually know which (if any) candidate they
support. And if later that public figure publicly endorsed the other
candidate, the "judgement" to use them in a commerical to slam the
other party looks pretty suspect.

Now granted, Brittany (of the famed: "I think we should support
whoever the Preseident is" drivel) is probably a safe bet. But then
again, she might just be whacked enough to flip-flop. I wouldn>t put
it past any of them.. (air heads?)

Irrelevant because it would be a NEW point if the sluts were to
