Unclear as to the actual amount of electricity that could be
produced from an automobile>s waste heat. The cited efficiency
ratings were meaningless numbers. If such a thermoelectric
converter could entirely eliminate the alternator, that would
be a good thing.
However, TE devices no matter how much they are improved, are
still very, very inefficient--they make car engines look good.
