Dear Newsgroup:
I have been practicing my NEW EXACT MATH since about my Ph.D. degree
in 1979 (at Cambridge) i.e. more than quarter century.
The backlash on this kind of mathematics is due to many factors in
math community.
This kind of mathematics is difficult and time consuming for current
establishment to gain their positions as leaders.
The kind of mathematics is practiced is mainly highly abstract
(particularly on pure mathematics domain) and I believe it has been
depreciated in terms of its usefulness.
Thus the main focus of the leaders has been for decads to promote and
provide grants to those systematically enhance their kind of research
in variety of forms such as seminars publications etc.
Current establishment in mathematics is powered by those whom are
within the groups viewed in Germany during 1933-45 as “inferior
peoples”.
Their mathematics and science was also labeled “ inferior mathematics
and science” as well as arts.
Unfortunately the characteristics of such peoples rest on history
(particularly the last three centuries) and the actions of current
establishment in mathematics or science only increases the chance of
history repeat itself faster evolving those events.
There was accusations leveled by Germany leaders in that period that
number of lawyers, theater directors and academic had reached
extremity high, and they managed to organize German sentiments against
those labeled as inferior peoples.
Although Nazis exaggerated figures and unfortunately events like
Holocaust eventually followed.
I see that some restrictions are bound to happen in activities of
those called “ inferior peoples” in all sorts of levels of the
society.
Ranging from political appointments, education leaders, the media, and
particularly their activities in academia and major political world
positions (also their involvement in arranging political leaders).
This will be essential to hopefully contain any nuclear war events in
the future or Holocaust (as its sever consequences).
Unfortunately nuclear missiles developments and placing them around
the word will not be the solution.
Their centuries old positions in the history has not been cleared and
never will be and the only solution will be to educate and persuade
current leaders of coming from so called “ Inferior groups”, to watch
their actions and be moderate and natural in their status.
Since they had gone too far and we had seen 50 million dead in World
War II.
By systematically hiring of less qualified people in academia (such as
Msc. Preferred over Ph.D.) and arranging opposition to professors by
actions like student evaluation, publications, institutes of research
(controlled in one direction), only creates a real vacuum in academy
and will substantially increase the chance of backlash by the general
public (uncontrolled by politicians) with disastrous consequences.
Thus whether they like it or not, it is time for leaders of those “
inferior groups of the past” to persuade their colleagues to evacuate
their positions of power voluntarily and reduce it to a moderate
means.
They need to wake up now! I hold the current math establishment for
blocking the advancements of my NEW EXACT MATH.
