This crash will enable us to rebuild and improve our infrastructure.
With high unemployment, government programs will be needed.
PWA, WPA, TVA, CCC, REA, PTA (Public Transportation Admin.)
NEA (New Energy Admin.) .... what else?
As I recall, J.K.Galbraith wanted this when he wrote "Affluent Society"
critical of too much consumer spending and too little government spending
for the general welfare of the nation.
