G>day mates,

Genetically modified chickens have moved into commercial channels at
last judging by local evidence in the trade.

Chicken legs are now on sale at $2.00/kg, compared with wings still at
$4.99/kg, and the tasteless skinless bits at $9.99/kg. (Consumers are
funny creatures.)

The surfeit of legs is undoubtedly due to successful inclusion of
genes from giant cicadas in the chicken genome. This would also
explain any heavy "chainsaw" noise you may have noticed emanating from
your local chook farms recently.

The next step is presumed to be commercial release of a breed
incorporating genes from the nudibranch _Ardeadoris egretta_
(<http://www.subaqua.ch/ns_a1e.htm> which will eliminate the costly
labour involved in producing those "value added" tasteless chicken
pieces.

Cheers, Phred.

Waaaaal.... I hate to spread rumours, especially those I get from
TV.... but there>s a not-very-solid rumour going around that
out some place in Colorado they are growing animals with multiple arses.
I figgure... I guess my playschool science is coming back to me...
that each arse must entail at least one leg, on average.
