VAERS stands for Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. It is a system
designed so that if there is a problem with a vaccine, the problem can
be spotted quickly. Hence, the system is also designed so that any
problem that *might* be related to a vaccine should be reported. So many
events that are not related to the vaccine get reported, too.
Unfortunately, we don>t know what happened to these girls. In almost
every case, the vaccine was not related to the event. However, from the
data given, we have no way to determine which adverse events are related
to the vaccine. From the reports that I have read, it is clear that the
vast majority of the reports are coincidence, with the vaccine playing
no role.
