Alas it turns out that Henrietta is a Henry.
Netty wants rid of her/him.

Anyone in the Midlands (S.W. Leics) want to swap/buy Henry?
:- Splash Cochin, less than a year old. Not aggressive.

She (now he) will be sadly missed, but he needs to go to a good home.

Post here if you have a vacancy...
(got to go, the tears are welling up).

We have 4 ISO Warrens, 1 Welsummer, 1 Splash Cochin cock (Henrietta / now
Henry), 2 Buff Orpington Bantams, 2 Gold cross Wyandotes (not sure on
particular breds used).

Henrietta has to go - Netty doesn>t want a cock! ~ she doesn>t like the idea
of eating a possibly fetilized egg!

Ah, that>s something that has amazed me in articles in English
magazines! A fertilized egg is regarded as an egg containing "foreign
bodies"!!! isn>t that strange. In fact, an unfertilized egg could well
be regarded as *incomplete*!

I can assure you, I have survived years of soft boiled breakfast eggs
that were all fertilized. As were the apples and strawberries and
currants I ate, not to mention sunflower seeds and all sorts of grains,
peas, beans etc.

And it>s nice to have a cockerel about, they often get so much tamer
than the hens! I wouldn>t want to be without mine.
