A question just out of curiosity. I know there are many things that can be
added to water to lower it>s freezing point, however, is there anything that
can be added to raise it>s freezing point? I have not seen anything
anywhere, and I wanted to know if it is possible. I have no specific use in
mind.

Methane. Early on (about 10% conversion) during the formation of
methane hydrate by pressurizing shaved water ice with methane it is
observed that the system temp rises to 3 C without a liquid phase
forming (superheating of water ice).
