First of all, am posting this off-topic on only sci.energy.hydrogen.
Please feel free to crosspost this to any newsgroup.
I watched the debate very closely, and without pundit views, thought
it was pretty equal, with possibly Sarah Palin winning by a very
slight margin. I did have the feeling that Joe Biden may, for some
reason, been pulling his puches just a little bit. With respect to the
candidates...
Anyone over the age of 60 knows Joe Bidens history/background. He
like Ted Kennedy had a rough early start, and had terrible scandals
associated with each of them. In later life, they both matured to
become fine public servants, and each can now run for any public
office without fear of the skeletons on both their closets appearing
to disrupt their political futures.
I like Joe Biden, and I believe that he is honest and speaks from the
heart. Leaning on the converative side, I don>t agree with all of his
views, but I respect them.
Sara Palin is a newcomer to the national political scene, but she
seems like a breath of fresh air, at least until her advisers spoil
her natural composure and appeal. (Please advisors, simply let Sarah
do her own thing!)
After listining to tonights debate, I would be perfectly happy to see
either of these two candidates serve as vice-president, or even
president. As a nation, we could do worse.
Now this statement may offend some readers, but for the second time in
4 years, the vice-presidential candidates from both parties appear
better equipped to hold office than do the presidential candidates.
Just as an aside, both presidental candidates voted in favor of the
700-1,000-billion dollar bailout Bill, which make them both
unacceptable to this voter. Here>s the Bill.

Focus on the content beyond the first 150 pages, and post if you would
vote for it or not.
[Realize that both Obama and McCaine has already voted for the Senate
version of the Bill. You may want to consider picking up the phone and
calling you Congressman to vote 'no', or sending him/her an email.]

p.s. For starters, read the bottom portion of Page 300. You can do
this without having to print out the entire 450 pages. |
