Looks like 250-mL Erlenmeyer flask, but tapered side arm right at
bottom (looks like medicine dropper) and at rim on top, 2 indentations
with little "ears" on each side.
We found this cleaning out a stockroom. Pyrex number is 4980, which
is plain flask, so apparently somebody modified this. Any idea what
it would be used for? |

A reservoir for chromatography?
Cheap sep funnel?
I>ve seen people add ears to their flasks to improve dripless
pouring.

In microbiology, it is common to make a side-arm flask, with a test
tube attached to an Erlenmeyer flask (near top). The test tube fits
into a Klett colorimeter. Thus one can quickly make measurements of
the flask contents, without having to open the flask.
Yours is different, but this might give you an idea. Perhaps it is to
allow a sample to be taken.
